Amy's Owl Baby Shower Invitations

My best friend, Amy, had a baby a few weeks ago. And oh my goodness is he cute.

A few months ago, Amy's mom and sister got together to plan the baby shower for the soon-to-be addition to their family, and they called me to do some invitations.

As I looked on Amy's Pinterest page for inspiration, I noticed that she had an owl theme going for her new little boy's room. So naturally, I went with that.

I thought the tag look was cute and different.

Fonts are Gelato Script and Cavier Dreams.

Oh, man. I could go on and on about how excited I am for this brand new addition. So much joy. Congratulations to Amy and Mike, and their beautiful new little guy!

Rachelle's Baby Shower Invitations

This Saturday, we'll host a special event at my parent's house. One of my cousins is expecting a baby - the same cousin that I did these Christmas card/"We're Pregnant!" announcements for - and we're throwing her a shower.

My mom and I get excited about planning showers, so we pretty much immediately offered to team up with my cousin's mom and sister (my aunt and cousin, obvi) to help plan the shower. We got together and talked about the theme and what we would do, and then we divided all of the tasks up. Naturally, I was in charge of most of the paper products (I may have said something like, "uhhh...I'll do paper. Please don't make me cook.").

So the first paper product were the invitations. Here they are.

Will I pair gray with everything until the day it goes out of style (and then maybe even some more)? Yes.

Fonts are Chunk Five, Champagne and Limousines, and Allura.

It's always fun to have something to celebrate, and have a good excuse to get together with family.  Many more fun baby shower paper products to come. :)

Samantha's Baby Shower Invitations

I worked with Samantha back in 2012 on her wedding invitations. A few months ago, she came to me asking if I could design invites for another special occasion - her own baby shower. I was happy to oblige.

If there was one thing I remembered about Samantha, it was that she had a very elegant style. Keeping with that, here's what we came up with.

Samantha gave me the wording she wanted to use and then let me go to work. I felt like the invitation needed to be fit for a little princess, so I brought in a formal brocade and then softened it up with a little pink.

We used Adios Script Pro and Trajan fonts for the invitation.

One of the biggest joys in this business is getting to work with my brides a second time. So glad Samantha and I could reconnect on this project!

Josh and Leah's Bright Baby Shower Invitations

In high school, everyone should have a friend like Josh.

Josh and I met sometime around junior year and became quick friends. We had several classes together (mostly AP classes, which he was in because he was smart and I was in because I have no idea) and I remember us always walking together from class to class, chatting about our days and most likely, laughing (Josh is hands-down one of the funniest people I've ever met). We hung out outside of school and I got to know his family, too, who are equally as funny as Josh. Josh was a consistent friend throughout my upperclassmen years and I am so grateful for that.

One day, about five years ago now, Josh called and said he had someone he'd like me to meet. One morning, we got together at my house for breakfast and Josh introduced me to Leah, the girl he was going to marry. It took about two minutes to realize that he had found a good woman, one who he'd be happy with for the rest of his life. They were married in 2009, and now they're expecting their first baby.

When Josh called to tell me that Leah was pregnant, he pretty much immediately asked if I would do the baby shower invitations. My friends are, of course, in no way required to do this, but I'm always honored when they do.

I ended up working with Josh's mother-in-law, Jane, on these and here's what we came up with.

Jane wanted bright colors, which was perfectly fine with me considering almost everything I design for myself is filled with bright pink, green, and purple. It felt very natural to do the same for these cards. :)

I love the baby carriage the most. Jane found the little poem we used. It reads:

Ten little fingers
ten little toes
boy or girl
no one knows!

Josh and Leah aren't finding out the sex of their baby. I am in complete awe of them doing this, especially since it's their first.

Fonts are BebasContext Reprise, with a tiny bit of Champagne and Limousines.

It was so fun to create this invitation for Josh and Leah, and I was honored to be included in their day. It was a beautiful shower for a beautiful couple. :)

Corinne's Baby Shower Invitations

A little while ago, I worked with a friend, Izzy, to design some wedding shower invites for her sister-in-law. She came back to me a month or so later and this time, needed some baby shower invites. But she was very specific - she wanted non-baby shower baby shower invites. :)  Here's what we came up with.

She wanted fall colors - navy, gray, and orange.

Fonts are Bebas and Champagne and Limousines, with just a touch of Anderson Four Feather Falls

All addresses are fake, and I was not the real return address. :)

I really loved how these turned out, and I think we definitely accomplished a non-baby shower baby shower invitation. :)

Mary's Pea Pod Baby Shower Invitations

A few months ago, an old friend named Mary came to me to see if I could design some baby shower invites for her. She is one of those super cute pregnant girls and her and her husband are about to have a little baby boy.

Mary said that she thought lime green and pea pods would make for a cute shower invitation. I immediately agreed, especially because I think that having a boy doesn't necessarily have to equal all things blue. Here's what we came up with.

Mary's super athletic - a runner, works out, all that good stuff. The green banner just seemed to fit her more than something baby-ish or floral or vintage. Luckily, she thought so, too.

Font throughout the invitation is Hero Light - a recent fave.

So there you have it. A cute invite for a super cute - and easy to work with - pregnant lady. :)

I'm guessing a lot of you are heading out to enjoy Labor Day weekend - have fun! I'll be back next week to continue on with some of this summer's wedding invitations. See you then. :)
